Science and Technology Integration System Engineer
Key Role:

Perform complicated and difficult software and systems design engineering assignments under general supervision requiring a high degree of technical competence reflecting current state–of–the–art applications for nuclear weapons systems. Plan, organize, and conduct technical projects in the design and development of computer systems hardware and software. Conceive and plan projects involving the assessment of basic architecture and current hardware limitations, define and select new concepts and approaches, design, develop, and implement non–routine major software engineering applications, analyze and investigate major software engineering project tasks, define complex design specifications and parameters, develop and apply major routines and utility programs, resolve difficult hardware and software compatibility and interface design considerations, and analyze system architecture requirements and structures. Conduct independent technical investigations in software and systems design and coordinate and consolidate design efforts on major projects. Prepare design specifications, analyze and recommend presentation and approval, and apply expertise and support for operational Air Force nuclear systems. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, or instrumentation related to nuclear systems. Determine the procedure for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems, perform or direct scientific and technical analysis of requirements, gaps, and new technologies, prepare briefings, and report on analysis methodology and results.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with systems integration

-Experience with solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems

-Experience with performing direct scientific and technical analysis of requirements, gaps, and new technologies

-Experience with preparing briefings and reports on analysis methodology and results

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills

-MA or MS degree preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance required.
