Manage, plan, control, analyze and report on assigned area of Inventory and Material Accounting for BMW Manufacturing and BMW Consolidation Services in the areas of material movements, rejected materials, scrap, supplier charges, intercompany claims and payments. Implement and maintain control over all aspects of area ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data, month-end close activities and group reporting. Responsible for project coordination for Accounting and compliance, assisting in the financial process review for the Accounting activities and ensuring accounting practices are in compliance with IFRS and BMW AG guidelines. Reviews internal controls in processes to ensure optimal efficiency. Manage all financial activities for assigned area. Record financial data timely and analyze for accurate group reporting, meeting established deadlines. Design and/or improve processes related to rejected materials, ensuring the proper application of related internal, external, or intercompany processes and financial transactions. Manage/Oversee projects as agreed by management including planning, concept development, implementation and documentation, testing and training. Represents the department in cross functional projects and coordinates the project needs with affected department members. Supports Quality Management processes related to inventory and provides consulting assistance in establishing and maintaining proper controls. Ensures accounting practices and reporting comply with IFRS principles and BMW AG guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned by management. BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

5+ years of accounting/financial experience.

1+ year SAP experience in FI, CO and MM modules (preferred)

1+ year Manufacturing experience (preferred)

German fluency (read and write) preferred

1+ year process improvement experience; IT Systems process experience; Inventory experience; Intercompany experience.

3+ years ability to review financial data and interpret results.

5+ years project management skills.

3+ years experience with Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis in MS Access and Excel.

3+ years ability with all the following: ability to be a self starter with minimal supervision; problem solving ability; presentation and communication skills; process analysis skills; proficiency in PC spreadsheets and general Windows environment; SAP proficiency, especially in FI, CO, MM, SD modules.

5+ years general ledger and general account maintenance knowledge.

3+ years ability to initiate improvements; set direction; think analytically; take ownership; develop talent; work collaboratively; communicate for results; adapt to change; think strategically; focus on the customer; demonstrate knowledge of the business; act with integrity.
