Purpose & Objective of Position

The Simplify Selling Program, as part of SAP’s Run Simple campaign, is responsible to simplify the current sales process from campaign creation to core finance topics.

Being part of the Simplify Selling Program Management you contribute to the next sales and finance process generation. The process re-design offers a unique user experience based on modern web user interface standards and state of the art IT solutions. The Simplify Selling Program is set up globally with teams in Walldorf, Newtown Square, New York and several other locations. We work in cross-functional teams applying the lean development model as well as methods of agile software development.

The Simplify Selling Program Management within the Digital Transformation Office is a cross-functional team with strong business, architecture and/or coordination knowledge and manages the development process of the all new Accelerated GTM Enablement. The team works on cross-functional tasks, such as strategy / portfolio, program management, architecture, delivery as well as technology-driven innovations and business-driven initiatives.

Expectations & Tasks

As an intern (f/m) you will be working directly with the core Simplify Selling Program Office team located in Newtown Square and globally supporting them in all daily tasks to effectively set up, run and report out the Program Office tasks and activities.

Daily tasks of the Simplify Selling Program Office team include:

Support actively administrative tasks in the Program Office;

Assist in the smooth running of daily operations including tasks in different areas: Sales Process Re-design, IT Implementation Planning, etc.;

Maintain the Simplify Selling tracking dashboards covering all stakeholders: business, sales & technology and IT team (weekly updates required);

Deliver bi-weekly board-level reports on program status and finalization/ delivery progress;

Plan and prepare focus workshops to help business and IT drive finalization;

Create and visualize (ppt) master presentation decks for our Executive Management and Program Office team

Ad hoc tasks within the context of the Simplify Selling in general

Build cross-departmental trusted relationships and understanding operational business processes/challenges linked to the corporate strategic goals

Agile software development project management (Agile, SCRUM, JIRA)

Skills / Competencies

Strong skills in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint and Excel)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Willing to work in international teams

Good Communication skills

Reporting and analytical capabilities, flexibility and focus on results

Proactive and self-dependent working style, goal-orientation and affinity to structure

Proactive contributing own ideas

Strong problem-solving skills

Soft skills: Team-Player, curious, creative, good communication and presentation skills, open, responsible, self-reliant, project management experience

Educational Requirements / Qualifications

Student (f/m) currently enrolled at a university or a university of applied sciences with a background in Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Project Management

Business Consulting/ Sales or Communications internship experience is an advantage
