Advertising and Marketing Internship
The purpose of this internship is to assist the Marketing & Product Development Department in the creation of electronic and print media for the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL). This position is at-will and is not covered by the South Carolina Employee Grievance Procedure Act.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
Assist in the creation of electronic media including: television; outdoor digital signage; Product Information Display (PID) advertisings; and videos from concept to delivery.
Assist in the conceptualizing, scripting, and storyboarding broadcast projects; assist in securing camera and voiceover talent; and assist in producing commercials using non-linear video editing software.
Assist in designing and creating 2D and 3D graphics for television and digital signage projects.
Assist in the creation of print media including: play station posters; writing surface pieces; play station topper cover, window cling posters, ticket dispenser topper piece, and other signage as needed.
Assist in the conceptualizing, creation, and printing of in-house print pieces.
Assist with production of retailer winner, promotional, and other advertising material in the print room.
Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and abilities
The Graphics Design intern should exhibit a foundation in: (1) drawing, typography, and design elements and related principles; (2) Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS6) applications; and (3) Adobe Production Studio and 3D Studio Max for animation. Knowledge and/or experience of After Effects, Premiere, Soundbooth, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preferred.
Candidate must be enrolled in or have a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, with a concentration in print media, digital media, film, or television broadcast design; motion graphics, animation and or visual effects; or closely related field(s). Enrollment in a Masters of Fine Arts program preferred, but not required.
